Beginning July 1, 2019, the entry of all dogs and cats from a foreign country must be reported to the Indiana State Board of Animal Health (BOAH) within 30 days of arrival.

Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI)

In addition to meeting all other Indiana entry requirements, a copy of the certificate of veterinary inspection (CVI) and/or official health papers must accompany the report. The person receiving the imported animal must provide notice to BOAH via email at: animalhealth@boah.in.gov. More information is available online at: www.in.gov/boah/2437.htm .
